ncacc :: north carolina association of county clerks > home | login you are here: home search letter from the president – summer 2018 warmest greetings and happy summer to everyone! by now, (i hope!) you all have your budget ordinances signed and that many of you have enjoyed or will soon enjoy some summer vacation time! i was away for the july 4th week this year and thoroughly enjoyed the sun and sea. we have not been together in a few months now, but i did have the opportunity to talk about our awesome association with some of our newest clerks at the new clerks academy held at the school of government on june 6. i hope those who are not yet members will soon join our association so they can enjoy all its benefits. also, do not forget about our mentor program if you are a newer clerk. if you are interested in being paired with a seasoned clerk to be your go-to for all your clerkdom questions, let me know. it is a great opportunity to learn and to make a new friend! we will assemble on august 24 for our business meeting in hickory during the nc association of county commissioners annual conference, and i hope to see you there! we have a few items of business, including some potential amendments to the certification portion of our bylaws handbook. we are holding the business meeting a little later this year to accommodate those clerks who are conference attendees. we do not want them to miss any sessions. the executive committee will meet at 11:30am and the regular business meeting will begin at 12:15pm. if there are any specific topics you yearn to know more about, please let vice president jason robinson know so he can share this information with the program committee. the committee has been in discussions regarding programming for the regionals, as well as the annual conference. as a reminder the regional dates are september 14 (onslow co.), september 28 (caswell co.), and october 5 (alleghany co.), and the annual conference will be hosted by pitt county clerk kimberly hines in greenville march 20-22, 2019. be on the lookout for the regionals registration information later this summer! thank you all for the hard work you do, and for your support of your fellow clerks! let me know if i can do anything for you, and have a wonderful summer! sincerely, laura m. williams, president nc association of county clerks upcoming events 2019 annual conference committees the ncacc president will appoint all committees and has the duty to see that all committees function effectively. there are currently 18 committees: nominating, outstanding clerk, program, site selection, scholarship... more info ... clerk of the year franklin county clerk to the board kristen king was presented the howard holly outstanding clerk of the year award on april 7, 2017 during the ncacc annual conference held in cleveland county... more info... memberships membership in our association is well worth the dollars spent in membership dues. the clerks association is assisted by the school of government and is an affiliate of the north carolina association... more info ... home » about us » annual conference » archives » clerk of the year » committees » contact » directory » in the news » job descriptions » membership » minutes » newsletters » photo galleries » resources » upcoming events copyright 2010 by north carolina association of county clerks | terms of use | privacy statement
